about us

A social group of dedicated fly fishers who are passionate about fly fishing in the tropical north of Australia and equally as passionate about the close camaraderie this sport brings. This passion and dedication led to the creation of the NT Flyfishers Social Mob blog site; an interactive and creative outlet where everyone can share our wonderful fly fishing adventures and link into the “after fishing” social events we enjoy in this incredible part of the world.

Grey Ghosts at Corroboree

Just to prove to ourselves that it wasn't a fluke the other day, we are off out to Corroboree again to see if we can stir the barra up.   The other day they were not going crazy like they have in the past around this time of the year, and we did not go over the whole billabong, so we will give it another crack and see what might tempt them.

Funnily enough the feather flies that worked the other day were a couple of  'older ones' that had been sitting on the console of the boat since last November, so they were faded and look pretty sad.  So we will try these....old Grey Ghosts?

Bit like the fly tier, still has a little bit of colour, but fading to white on top!

The brighter ones at the back are 'just in case flies'

Will let you all know how we go.
