about us

A social group of dedicated fly fishers who are passionate about fly fishing in the tropical north of Australia and equally as passionate about the close camaraderie this sport brings. This passion and dedication led to the creation of the NT Flyfishers Social Mob blog site; an interactive and creative outlet where everyone can share our wonderful fly fishing adventures and link into the “after fishing” social events we enjoy in this incredible part of the world.

200 metres from east arm ramp

Took my four year old daughter out Wednesday this week for a short drive around the harbour
But 200 meters from east arm ramp the water was bubbling with several packs of giant and golden trevally herding and eating jelly prawns

We had three hours chasing them on electric catching fish after fish
The goldens were 60ish centimetres, the giants 30ish

The video here was made for my wife's Facebook page so has first half daughter being cute and second half has one of the goldens picked right out of the middle of one of the sporadic packs of fish
Also I had cam on wrong angle so not the best but thought I would add it anyway
