about us

A social group of dedicated fly fishers who are passionate about fly fishing in the tropical north of Australia and equally as passionate about the close camaraderie this sport brings. This passion and dedication led to the creation of the NT Flyfishers Social Mob blog site; an interactive and creative outlet where everyone can share our wonderful fly fishing adventures and link into the “after fishing” social events we enjoy in this incredible part of the world.

  1. I've seen an unreleased video from Graeme, that was done three or four years later where there were around 40 crocs on a carcass in the same billabong. That same year a mob of us lauched into the fresh side of Shady, which is in the same system, and the tide was out so the salt side was dry. That time we counted over 40 at the ramp, and had to nudge them away from the ramp with the boat so we could get out. Funnily enough, even though all those crocs were there, we have a photo of all of them with about 8 small roos, on the barrage, drinking water only metres from them.
