about us

A social group of dedicated fly fishers who are passionate about fly fishing in the tropical north of Australia and equally as passionate about the close camaraderie this sport brings. This passion and dedication led to the creation of the NT Flyfishers Social Mob blog site; an interactive and creative outlet where everyone can share our wonderful fly fishing adventures and link into the “after fishing” social events we enjoy in this incredible part of the world.

BSSS - DEBRIEF

Now that all the fan fare is over, and Rosco is shepherding his sheep, here is a bit of a post mortem on the Stakes.  Given the weather was not entirely kind to us and the fish were in the same mood, it was still a great time.  Had a lot of laughs.

Considering the next 2016 Stakes, we have been looking at the tides for the weekends next year and they are a bit iffy but we have to do the best.  A high in the morning going to a low before Midday then a high to get out on is only happening during the week.  The weekends are similar to this below, We have used October the 8th and 9th 2016 for an example, but September and August have similar early in the months with only slight differences...

If you think the other months are better let us know and we will get a decision from 'The Committee' and we will put the out so that we can start some planning.

The 'Çorroboree Cup' is usually mid May and that will still be the case once we see what the Wet is doing... probably 14th and 15th May 2016  so pencil those dates in.

Lord Jim has suggested that we make up a stubbie cooler for the Mob....we can get the for a reasonable price if we take a few, so we will get that started by need a picture, no bigger than 210 x 110 which is the size they can print on.

Here is a suggestion....but you may have a better idea

We will have to get the ok from Corroboree Park and Sandpalms to put their logos on but I don't see any problems there...
