about us

A social group of dedicated fly fishers who are passionate about fly fishing in the tropical north of Australia and equally as passionate about the close camaraderie this sport brings. This passion and dedication led to the creation of the NT Flyfishers Social Mob blog site; an interactive and creative outlet where everyone can share our wonderful fly fishing adventures and link into the “after fishing” social events we enjoy in this incredible part of the world.

THREE LITRES OF FUEL FOR DARWIN HARBOUR

Launched before 6.00am and fishing within 5 minutes, off the water by 10.45am. 15 Golden Trevally, 4 Tarpon, Zillion Queenfish and a Zillion Zillion small GT's.

15 of these all about the same size

Schools of Goldens tightly packed. A fly thrown into the pod would split and scatter it, a fly presented 1-2 metres away would tempt 1 or 2 out for a strike and maintain the school for the next cast.

As many of these plus 35cm GT's

Not a good looker but it worked

All fish were caught on the same fly, the same one that I had tied on for the billabongs!!

How lucky are we to have this sort of fun on our doorstep and it only cost me 3 litres of fuel!!!!

Remember; "You'll never never know if you never never go! Get out there and fish".

Tight lines for 2015
