DARWIN/BYNOE SHOOT OUT?

There are great tides for Saturday the 15th March, here is the one for Bynoe (below), and Darwin is similar.  Pete (Mad Mullet) has suggested a day out in Darwin Harbour on that Saturday, and some others wish to fish Bynoe Harbour, so, over a bottle of red (Craftsman Reserve Shiraz) there was a momentous decision made to further Pete's suggestion and make it a Darwin / Bynoe shoot out on the Saturday, and then a debrief/wine tasting?? at the Palmerston (Palmo) Tavern on Sunday to compare notes.

As we get closer the weather may be a factor for the fishing, but the debrief and wine tasting is definitely on!!

......and a review of the wine?

Craftsman Reserve Shiraz

Reserve Shiraz 5 / 5

Spicy oak, blackcurrant fruit, depth in the bouquet. Touch of graphite and earth too. Medium-bodied now and very tight, almost strict in oak and tannin framework holding fruit intact. Finishes with spicy oak flavours. It's a touch sour and firm really, but some will enjoy its firm, finer feel.

A sheer revelation! World-class density, concentration, purity and clarity all in one. Brooding black fruits, dark chocolate and jaw dropping length.
Vintage: 2010 Score: 95 points
The Craftsman in this case is none other than the legendary Grant Burge. You could almost stand a spoon up in this wine. Powerhouse Barossa Shiraz.
Vintage: 2008 Score: 95 points

NOTE:  Cathie will be away, so can somebody look after Roggie.
...................he does tend to wander off.
