Glad to hear some people are catching fish

After tracking a sawfish from midnight on Friday until 2pm Saturday and then again from midday Sunday till 1am Monday (then getting soaked by an unseasonal downpour 40km down from the Adelaide River ramp and having to "go slow" all the way back because it was so cold) and finally getting to bed by 4am, we decided a trip to Mandorah and a relaxing fish was the best way to spend the public holiday.
If anyone was out on the weekend they'd understand that the wind was a mongrel.  My nice beach wading spot had a nice left hand break happening that would have had a waxhead dribbling.  The water clarity wasnt too wonderful either.
So we parked up at a creek, set up the awening and chairs and enjoyed the breeze.  We managed a few small queenfish in the creek before the turn and then again after the turn.  On the high I managed a Bar-tailed flathead.

That was it.  Justine and Marty had a bit of a struggle in the soft sand on the beach.  Someone forgot to tell them about the manual hubs on those new cruisers.  Sorry Justine, couldnt help but share your joy!! But all in all a nice way to spend a windy day.  We actually flew a kite too.  If you can't beat the wind, you may as well enjoy it...right?

Apologies for such a boring report, maybe next time.

Cheers,

Dion
